ASIA Featuring John Payne

Las Vegas-based progressive rock band celebrating John Payne's 14 years as lead singer of ASIA.

John Payne became the frontman of the supergroup ASIA in 1992 at the invitation of keyboardist Geoff Downes, replacing vocalist/bassist John Wetton. ASIA extensively toured the world for the next 14 years performing new classics and old favorites.
With John Payne fronting the band, ASIA released 8 stunning studio albums and several live recordings. In 2006, Geoff Downes left the band to reform the 1982 line up for their 25th anniversary.
On the 9th of May 2006, John Payne, Geoff Downes, John Wetton, Carl Palmer and Steve Howe contractually agreed that John Payne would continue his 14 year legacy with ASIA as "ASIA Featuring John Payne".
ASIA Featuring John Payne have been touring in North America since 2008.

The Band

John Payne

Lead Vocals, Bass Guitar
John Payne was the lead vocalist of ASIA from 1992-2006. He founded modern progressive rock bands GPS and Dukes of the Orient. He is also a guitarist, composer, recording engineer and record producer. He co-created and previously performed in the Las Vegas production Raiding the Rock Vault.

Moni Scaria

Guitarist Moni Scaria has performed with WWIII, Kidneythieves and Joey Vera. He joined AFJP in 2012. John Payne says: “I first saw Moni play in Burbank in 2004. I was so taken by both his guitar playing and vocals in 2008 I asked him to fill in for Guthrie Govan on a live date. I was blown away by his skill and accuracy.”

Jeff Kollman

Jeff joined AFJP in 2012. He ranked in the top 20 favorite guitarists in Young Guitar Magazine\’s readers poll. Jeff is an in demand session guitarist, writer, and producer with numerous TV/film credits and has worked with acts including: Jill Scott, UFO, Lao Tizer, Michael Schenker, HTP, Glenn Hughes, Chad Smith & The Bombastic Meatbats.

Johnny Fedevich

John Fedevich (born in Massillon, Ohio) is an American drummer and actor who acted in the movie Almost Famous playing the character of Ed Vallencourt, the Stillwater band drummer. He later starred in Vanilla Sky (2001) and Shopgirl (2005).

Jamie Hosmer

Jamie Hosmer is a keyboardist / vocalist and producer who has been performing for over 25 years with artists including Clint Holmes and Michael Cavanaugh.
